Ethan Raysor, born and raised in Delaware, started dancing at the age of 14 and fell in love with ballet and theatre while attending Cab Calloway School of the Arts. He began training with James Zynda at Delaware Dance Company, and started his professional career at 16. He joined First State Ballet Theatre upon graduating high school, and was a company member for 7 seasons. During his time with First State Ballet Theatre, he had the pleasure of a wide variety of Principal and Soloist roles in full-length productions of 'The Sleeping Beauty,' 'Swan Lake,' 'Don Quixote,' 'Romeo + Juliet,' 'A Midsummer Night's Dream,' 'Grand Pas Classique,' and excerpts from 'Paquita,' 'Raymonda,' several contemporary pieces, as well as the holiday favorite 'The Nutcracker.' Ethan is pursuing acting opportunities, both on film and on stage. He had the opportunity to be a Golf Spectator in ‘Happy Gilmore 2,’ and the lead “Paul” in a PhD candidate’s thesis project at Brandeis University. Ethan recently was filmed as "Jabril," the archangel, in John Tedeschi's feature film 'Beget,' where he had the opportunity to work in a full green-screen studio for this retelling of classic Creationism, with a queer spin. Ethan has also performed in cabaret shows around NYC, singing classic rock to classic Broadway. In February 2025, Ethan joined Rising Sun Theatre Company in NYC as an Ensemble member.
Ethan loves plants and is an avid hiker, recreational swimmer, and has a Bachelor's degree in Plant Science from University of Delaware. He also enjoys watercolor painting, mixed media art collages, and landscape design focusing on native plant restoration projects. When he is not acting, singing, dancing, or creating art, he is at home with his two pitbulls, his husband, and their cat.
